A 44-minute deep-dive discussion based on Avery Nitkin’s (PlayItSmart) live 200NL Rush Cash sessions — breaking down the single most common and costly bluffing mistake in online cash games.
Most players at 100NL–500NL bluff with the wrong hands. Not wrong in terms of timing, not wrong in terms of frequency — wrong in terms of which specific holding they choose as their bluff candidate. This video breaks down exactly why that happens, why it is a systematic error, and what the correct framework looks like at 200NL. All content is drawn from real money sessions inside the Upswing Poker Lab 2.0 — 200NL Rush Cash Play and Explain by Avery.

What This Episode Covers
① The Bottom-of-Range Bluffing Rule
The weakest hand in your range in any given line is almost always your best bluff — not the combo draw, not the missed flush draw. The discussion walks through exactly why high-equity hands should be played for semi-value rather than used as bluff candidates, and demonstrates the framework with a concrete river decision from a live 200NL session where ace-jack becomes the bluff because it is provably stone bottom of the range in that line.
② Sizing Tells — Free Information at Every Table
Opponent bet sizes reveal their range more clearly than most players realize. The episode covers three patterns from live 200NL data: the undersized check-raise on dry boards, the small bet on connected textures, and the min-raise against an overbet. Each pattern corresponds to a specific range read and a specific counter-play. This is information that is present in every session you play — the question is whether you are reading it.
③ Metagame: Poker as a Continuous Story
No hand is isolated. How you played hand 12 changes the optimal strategy in hand 27. The episode explains how Avery uses table history actively — shifting from bluffing to thin value after a large bluff is called, widening bluff ranges against opponents who have seen him fold. This is the layer of poker that exists entirely above what any solver output can generate.
