📚 Course Structure — 4 Modules
| Module | Content |
|---|---|
| Intro | Why blind defense is the most important facet of your game that most players systematically get wrong — the frequency of the spot and its cumulative EV impact |
| Part 1 | Big blind calling ranges vs. different raise sizes and positions — the mathematical framework for what you need to defend and why MDF applies differently from the BB |
| Part 2 | Postflop execution from the BB — check-raising frequencies, leading strategies, and when to exploit opponents who continuation-bet too often |
| Part 3 | 3-bet opportunities from the BB — when to attack wide ranges, blocker-based 3-bet bluffing, and building a balanced BB 3-bet range that makes opponents pay |
🎯 The Blind Defense Problem — And Alex’s Solution
The leak is universal: Most players fold their big blind too often to raises — especially from late position where their opponents are opening 40–55% of hands. Alex demonstrates that this systematic over-folding is one of the easiest leaks to fix and one of the highest-EV improvements any player can make.
Position disadvantage is real but manageable: Alex’s system doesn’t pretend playing out of position is profitable by default. Instead, it shows precisely which hands retain enough equity and postflop playability to justify continuing — and which do not, regardless of the “good pot odds” argument.
The Assassinato HUD advantage: Alex designed the Assassinato HUD specifically to track the stats most relevant to blind defense — fold BB to raise, BB 3-bet %, postflop aggression from the blinds. He walks through how these stats inform the adjustments he teaches in this webinar.
