Your poker graph runs on two engines. The blue line counts the pots you win at showdown. The red line counts the pots you take because your opponent folds. Add them together and you get the green line, your real win rate. In the opening lesson, thejericho2 calls the red line “basically 50% of your winnings” and estimates that around 90% of regular online players, regs rather than recreational players, run it at a loss.
The leak is easy to miss because every single decision feels disciplined. You check-fold the turn after your c-bet gets called. You give up the river when the draw misses. You call down only when you have it. Each fold looks sensible on its own, but together they cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars a month in pots the other players take from you. Red Line Mastery is built to close that gap without turning you into a spewy maniac.

The leak
Why Most Regs Have a Losing Red Line
Non-showdown winnings are the half of poker that most players never study.
Red Line Mastery names the habits that keep good players passive: loss aversion, black-and-white thinking about hand strength, and ranges that are never protected, so once you check you have nothing left to apply pressure with. Aggression in solver-approved poker goes against human instinct, and that is exactly why most of the money leaks out on the red line.
The goal of Run It Once Red Line Mastery is not a red line that spikes for a month and then spews it all back. thejericho2 aims for what he calls the “purple line”: blue and red both winning, the graph that comes closest to how a solver actually plays. The course is GTO-oriented at its core, because, as he puts it, you can only exploit well once you know what the correct baseline play is.

The course also explains why the usual shortcut has an expiry date. A heavy showdown style, or mass data analysis (MDA) exploits, can carry a reg comfortably to 200NL. At 500NL, 1kNL and 2kNL the player pool is smaller, opponents adapt quickly, and a strategy built on one-sided exploits gets played back. To see how MDA exploits work where they still pay, read our MDA and HUD exploit guide.
Story time from the course
Before he became a red line player, thejericho2 took 15 to 20 shots at 200NL with a heavy blue-line game. Each shot had a budget of 5 to 6 buy-ins, about $1,000 to $1,200, and he says he lost most of them in the first session. Then he gave himself one summer at 200NL with a roughly $10K roll to play aggressively, and his graph finally started to climb.
The transformation
From Nit to Red Line Player
This is the shift Red Line Mastery is designed to produce.
| Before the course | After Red Line Mastery |
|---|---|
| Struggling to win when you don’t make hands | Outplaying opponents to win pots regularly |
| Playing passively in uncomfortable spots | Finding more spots to apply pressure |
| Scared of facing big bets and raises | Countering with aggression and confidence |
| Guessing when to bluff, call or fold | Deciding with ranges, blockers and frequencies |
| Aggression that turns into spew | Controlled aggression that is hard to exploit |
The final chapter is titled “Am I Still a Nit?”, and thejericho2’s answer is honest: nobody becomes an aggressive red line player overnight. The course gives you the map and a study routine; the reps are yours. For the theory of how the three graph lines interact, see our blue line vs red line vs green line breakdown.
The method
What Makes Red Line Mastery Different
Four design choices separate this red line poker course from a folder of solver screenshots.
♠
Full game tree coverage
Aggression and calling are taught street by street, preflop to river, so every red line decision connects to the one before it. Calling gets its own 11-video chapter, because good calls move the red line as much as bluffs.
♥
Solver-baked, made practical
The work is built on PioSOLVER and GTO Wizard, but it is taught as principles, heuristics and adjustments you can use at the table, not raw outputs to memorise.
♦
EV over a pretty graph
You learn when to apply pressure and when to back off, because chasing a higher red line without context can lower your win rate. The course is blunt that the line between a good aggressive reg and a spew is thin.

Theory is cheap until the blinds are real.
Chapter 13 is almost 10 hours of thejericho2 grinding with commentary on every decision: two tables of GGPoker 200NL Rush & Cash, four regular tables at GGPoker 500NL, two tables of PokerStars 200NL Zoom, and PokerStars 500NL and 1kNL regular tables. He talks through his sizing, which cards he blocks, and why a weaker player gets a different line from a thinking reg.

Inside the course
PokerStars 500NL and 1kNL regular tables, three parts, up to four tables at once, and a few 2kNL hands when the game was running. The coach admits on camera that the 2kNL table didn’t go his way. That is what real red line poker looks like: no cherry-picked highlight reel.

Mindset & review
Built for the Swings, Not Just the Graph
Two chapters deal with the part of aggressive poker that happens away from the tables.
An aggressive style is tiring, and red line downswings feel personal. In Mental Aspects of Being a Redline Player, thejericho2 explains how he checks his stats after every session, again every week and again every month, to tell running bad from playing bad. He also tells the story of dropping his HUD in mid-2019 on a friend’s advice and never going back, and notes that GGPoker, the biggest site right now, doesn’t allow HUDs anyway.

Session & Hand Review Advice then shows his routine: start with the biggest pots lost, mark about 8 to 12 hands per session, tag them in Holdem Manager 3, and work through them in PioSOLVER or GTO Wizard. If tilt and fatigue are your bigger leak, pair this course with our guide to avoiding tilt and decision fatigue. For solver habits, read how to use PioSOLVER in real games.

Your coach
Meet Your Coach: thejericho2
A former full ring nit who turned himself into a red line reg at 500NL and above.
He did not start as an aggressive player. By his own account, he began at NL2 as a nit, 24-tabling full ring, then played around a million hands at NL50 at roughly 0.5 bb/100 and spent years bouncing between 100NL and 200NL. Studying how the fearless regs played, he rebuilt his game in the late 2010s, and the red line style then held up at 500NL, 1kNL and 2kNL.
That journey is why Run It Once Red Line Mastery spends so much time on the transition itself: the common mistakes players make when they move from a blue line to a red line style, and why the learning curve is expensive. He says he spent three to four months building this course, five to eight hours a day, and that he held nothing back.

Is Red Line Mastery Right for You?
This is a move-up course for NLHE cash players, not a beginner’s guide.
Choose it if you…
- ✓You play 100NL to 200NL and want to move up to 500NL and 1kNL
- ✓Your blue line wins but your red line slides downhill
- ✓You freeze when facing big bets, check-raises and river raises
- ✓You want solver-based play explained as usable principles
- ✓You play 6-max Zoom, Rush & Cash or regular tables
Skip it if you…
- ✕You plan to stay at 100NL for good (the coach says the course is not for that)
- ✕You only want a quick MDA exploit list
- ✕You are brand new and don’t know preflop charts yet
- ✕You play tournaments or PLO rather than NLHE cash
Not sure about your level? The coach recommends starting the red line style early, at 100NL or 200NL, even if it is not the most profitable style there yet, so that you arrive at 500NL with the right game plan. Comparing options for that jump? See our list of the best mid-stakes cash game courses.

Red line poker is taught very differently by different coaches. Saulo Costa treats a poor red line as a symptom of specific leaks in The Redline Blueprint and drills it in Dose of Red Line. Robmaf builds opponent-specific plans in the Redline Ninja Course, and Upswing focuses on overbets and check-raises in Red Line Rocketship. Run It Once Red Line Mastery is the broadest of them, covering the full game tree with 56 hours of video.
